WHERE: The Pines Golf Club, Marana AZ

WHEN:  Wednesday,  December 3, 2008

FORMAT: One day 18-hole tournament – Chapman System (Rule 29)
The partners both drive from the tee, each partner then plays her partner's ball, after which a ball is selected and the hole is completed with alternate shots with the chosen ball.  No other ball may be substituted anywhere during the hole being played.
Ten (10) strokes between partners -- 60% of lower handicap and 40% of higher handicap.  Percentages will be rounded off.   The overall winner and the flight winners will be awarded on NET scores.  Ties for overall winners will be broken by sudden death play-off; ties in flights will be broken by score card play-off.

TIME: 8:30 am shot gun.   7:15  - 8:15 am Check in.   Range balls are free.

HANDICAPS: November 15th  handicaps will be used. Maximum handicap of 36.

ELIGIBILITY: A player must be a member of a Woman's Golf Club (in Southern District), State, and a member of Southern District BY THE OPENING DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. Please register from the correct Club.

ENTRY FEE: $76.50per player $153.00 per team .Checks payable to SDWGA.   ONE team entry per envelope.

OPENING DATE: November 3, 2008 (POSTMARK DATE). Early entries will be returned.

CLOSING DATE: November 22, 2008 .  Refunds may/may not be given after November 22nd .   Partner substitutions may not be allowed after November 22nd if there is a wait list.

FIELD: First 60 TEAMS received by POSTMARK DATE. If more than 60 entries are received, a lottery drawing will be held. If you are NOT notified by phone or e-mail by November 10th, you are IN the tournament.   Please check the website www.sdwga.com for a list of participants and other information.

PARTICIPANT LIST:  Available after  November 15th

LUNCHEON: Immediately after play at The Pines Golf Course Restaurant

PRIZES: Gift certificates for the Van's Golf Shop.

DRESS CODE: Appropriate golf attire for the Host club. This is a soft spike facility
