FORMAT: One day 18-hole tournament  Chapman System (Rule 29)

The partners both drive from the tee, each partner then plays her partner’s ball, after which a ball is selected and the hole completed with alternate shots with the chosen ball. No other ball may be substituted anywhere during the hole being played. Ten (10) strokes between partners – 60% of the lower handicap and 40% of higher handicap. Percentages will be rounded off. The overall winner and the flight winners will be awarded on net scores. Ties for overall winners will be broken by sudden death play-off.

TIME: 7:30 am - Shot Gun.  6:30am Registration.  Range balls are included in the price of the tournament.

HANDICAPS: July 1st handicap will be used. Maximum handicap-36.

ELIGIBILITY: A player must be a member of a Women’s Golf Club in Southern District, State and a member of Southern District BY THE OPENING DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT.  Please register from correct Club.

ENTRY FEE:: $83.00 per player.    $166.00 per team.
Checks payable to SDWGA. One team entry per envelope, please.

OPENING DATE: June 16, 2008 (POSTMARK DATE). Early entries will be returned.
CLOSING DATE: July 5, 2008. Refunds may/may not be given after July 7th.
Partner substitutions may not be allowed after July 5th if there is a wait list.

FIELD: First 60 teams received by POSTMARK DATE. If more than 60 entries are received, a lottery drawing of those entries will be held. If you are NOT notified by phone or e-mail by June30, 2008, you are IN the tournament.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Sunday & Monday prior to Tournament    12:00 to 1:30 
                                 $45.00 Plus Tax

TEES/SLOPE:    To be announced

LUNCHEON:  Immediately after play at Terra Cotta on Sunrise

PRIZES:  Gift certificates WILL BE AT VAN'S GOLF SHOP

DRESS CODE:  Appropriate golf attire.  NO DENIM.
                        Soft spikes or spikeless shoes ONLY.
